New stuff on the Horizon

Been working on some WoW fan art as of late. I'll have those up soon. Also I plan on starting my "armory" which will help serve as a digital portfolio for armor and weapon design, gotta get this thing together. So look for stuff soon.

Bleh been back to playing WoW as well, Warhammer is hitting the fan and its going to be gone soon, I can call that one.

Personally I've been back into researching and thinking about another failed game, Hellgate, it had so much potential so through boredom and in order to learn new sci-fi bits I've been drawing things from it.

Yeah I really wanted Warhammer to succeed, I really really did but they talked to much and failed to deliver just like AoC (another game I really wanted to succeed.) More companies need to take the Blizzard approach don't release it til it's done. I mean all MMOs have bugs etc. But I don't understand why Mythic didn't transfer DAoC RvR to WAR which I think would have made that game highly successful. Plus now they are removing Fortress battles.. wtf is with that? Anywho yeah as much as I love the Warhammer universe that game is a boat with a hole in it. Let's hope if the THQ making a 40k MMO rumor stands to be true they do it right.

Hellgate could have been great but teh problem was Flagship rushed it, after they split from Blizzard they lost a lot of their financial backings and released a half finished gamed just like Vanguard. But deff some cool visuals on that game.

The issue with Hellgate and Warhammer both, the core absolute issue, they are not their own games, Warhammer is Dark Age of Camelot in spirit, Hellgate was Diablo in spirit, your game cannot be like that and succeed.

The backstory and artwork for Hellgate was amazing, it was sad to see it fail because the designers tried to make everyone happy. They tried to make it Future Diablo 3, and that's not how you make a game like that.
